Ciara McGovern
Vocal Coach

Ciara McGovern is a singing teacher, vocal coach and performer specialising in Musical Theatre and Jazz. Her teaching combines a strong technical foundation with the freedom, playful individuality and storytelling at the heart of contemporary singing.

Ciara trained in acting and musical theatre in Los Angeles and at the CAP21 Musical Theatre Conservatory in New York, studying acting through song, speech and diction alongside dance. She holds a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance and Music Arranging from London College of Creative Media and has continued her vocal development through private classical study.

As a teacher, Ciara is passionate about helping singers develop a free, expressive and reliable voice. She works with students to build an individual understanding of their voice and how it works, exploring breath, resonance, musicality and healthy contemporary singing while always connecting the work back to the song, character and story. Her jazz background brings a particular focus on phrasing, interpretation and finding individuality within a song.

Passionate about Golden Age Musical Theatre and all things jazz, Emily also specialises in contemporary, pop/rock and legit vocal styles, tailoring her approach to each singer’s individual voice and artistic goals.
